Welcome to our first blog posting for Balandra Development Inc.’s newest home called the “Cumana” in Steveston, BC. We hope you will follow our frequent updates which show you how the home is built and will introduce the trades people and consultants who make it happen. During and after construction Taylor Biggar and me, Larry Biggar will be marketing the Cumana. As longtime Realtors in Steveston we are proud to represent this benchmark home.

First, an artists rendering provides a guideline for the building team to follow and a good representation of the finished product for prospective Buyers.

The Building Team

The team from “Legend Construction”  are currently framing the house and preparing the house for the upcoming stages.

Brian, the “Boss” with Legend Construction, oversees operations and manages the framing team.

The next team member is Rich Wahpooswgan (huh! – smile :) ) who is the 2^nd floor man! Watch out Rich…Todd is going to nab ya!

The “Camana” features 2 X 6 walls with Floor Trusses that allow “squeak free” floors for the home. (shown below)

Here is the separate “studio” building in the backyard and there I am, Larry Biggar with Remax Westcoast! Go Canada! 

 

The separate building is a first for new homes in Richmond. We envision it could be a studio, office, teens rec room, Nanny room or? What do you suggest?

In the days and weeks to come we will introduce you to the Buider, the Designer, the Interior designer and many more who will make this an amazing home.
