Steveston Calendar of Events

Steveston is a beehive of activity year round! While many events that Steveston is known for happen in the summer months, make no mistake plenty of things happen the other 9 months of the year.

Check out our calendar of events to see what is happening in the coolest Richmond neighbourhood, trust us it is the coolest!

Steveston Salmon Festival

The Steveston Salmon Festival has evolved from a July 1st "Sports Day" themed event which was held as a fundraiser to build a playground in the Steveston Park in 1944, to one of the largest non-profit Canada Day celebrations in Canada. The Marpole-Richmond Review headlines read "Steveston Sports Day Best in Living Memory of Present Residents". A testament then to the over sixty year tradition of commitment to this community by the residents which is as strong today as it was then.
